WYA Writes is a space for people to come together and discuss their experiences in all things WYA related - whether that is nightclub safety, thoughts for where the app can go, or personal experiences individuals have in clubs. WYA Writes has three aims. Firstly, we want to raise awareness of the different aspects of these experiences. We want to help in the development of language, and sustain a dialogue to allow them to be recognised, tackled and discussed. Secondly, we want to provide catharsis. We've seen from Everyone's Invited and Everyday Sexism how important writing is in processing these experiences. WYA writes is a space to discuss them. Thirdly, we want to build a network of advocates - writers who, once we launch, can help spread the word about WYA.
